Dr. Magnuson accepts insurance and private pay for evaluations. She currently accepts select plans within:

• Aetna
• Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas

If you are seeking out-of-network coverage, Dr. Magnuson will provide you with a superbill that can be submitted to your insurance. Your insurance provider can discuss submission of a superbill and coverage possibilities with you. 

It is strongly recommended that you discuss coverage with your insurance provider before receiving an evaluation if you plan to seek reimbursement. 

Evaluation fees typically range from $800 to $3,000, depending on the scope of the evaluation, the length of testing, and whether services are billed through insurance or completed as private pay.

Assessment fees generally include:

• The initial parent interview 
• Testing sessions 
• Scoring and interpretation of results 
• Report writing 
• Feedback with the provider 
• Collaboration with schools or other providers, as clinically appropriate 

Prior to beginning services, you will receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of your child’s evaluation based on the specific assessment plan.

The No Surprises Act was passed in January of 2022, and it aims to eliminate surprise or unexpected costs when receiving health services. Based on Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers, such as psychologists, are required to share a "Good Faith Estimate" of service costs to individuals who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance. This "Good Faith Estimate" is given upon request or at the time of scheduling the service. A bill can be disputed if it is at least $400 more than this "Good Faith Estimate". Visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises for additional information. 

Things happen and plans change. Please notify Dr. Magnuson through email or phone call of your cancellation at least 24 hours prior. If cancellation notice is not given, a $100 no show fee will be applied. 

Dr. Magnuson provides assessment services in a hybrid manner with sessions occurring virtually and in-person. 

Dr. Magnuson provides assessments to ages 2.5 to 14 years old.
