Flora Psychology is in-network with select insurance plans (BCBS TX & Aetna) for medically necessary diagnostic evaluations, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD assessments.

Coverage and benefits vary depending on:

• Your insurance plan 
• Deductible status 
• Referral requirements 
• Medical necessity criteria 
• The specific services included in the evaluation 

Families are encouraged to complete the New Client Inquiry Form so insurance benefits can be reviewed prior to scheduling.

Please note:

• Insurance coverage cannot be guaranteed prior to claim processing. 
• Families are responsible for any deductible, copay, coinsurance, or non-covered services. 
• Some insurance plans may not cover portions of developmental, cognitive, academic, gifted, or psychoeducational testing.

Some families choose to utilize private pay services for:

• Academic testing 
• Gifted testing 
• Supplemental cognitive testing 
• Comprehensive psychoeducational assessment 
• Independent consultation services 

Private pay allows for increased flexibility and individualized assessment planning based on each child’s needs.

In accordance with the No Surprises Act, families who are not using insurance or who choose private pay services have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining anticipated costs of services.

Depending on the referral question and insurance plan, portions of academic or psychoeducational testing may be considered private pay services.

Recommendations regarding fees and coverage will be discussed prior to scheduling additional testing services whenever possible.
